Off-Peak (Time of Use)

If you are the type of irrigator who does not want to worry about service being interrupted, and are willing to pay a little more when you absolutely need to water your crop, but understand you can save money by doing most of your irrigating when our peak loads are lower, then our off-peak option is for you.

Energy is priced per kilowatt-hour (kWh) and the monthly energy and delivery charges you are billed each month is based on the total amount of energy used as recorded by your electric meter.

Fixed Charge: All irrigators on this rate will pay a fixed charge based upon the highest recorded demand (kW) reading from the previous irrigation season. The fixed charge is then billed with 60% reflecting on the bill you receive on or after May 1st, then 40% on the bill you receive on or after August 1st.

You must notify us by April 15 of your intent to take service under this option.

Irrigation Season is June 1 - September 30. During this time, energy prices vary based upon usage.

During the winter (October 1 - May 31), energy prices are the same no matter how many kWh are recorded by your meter.
