We’ve worked hard to keep your electricity rates steady—and we’re proud of that. As we enter a new year, there will be a slight adjustment to our rates. NPPD’s board of directors approved a 3% rate increase for residential customers, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
What does that mean for you? If you use approximately 1,000 kilowatt-hours a month (like the average customer), your bill will increase by about $5 per month, or around the same cost of a daily coffee drink.
We know any increase isn’t ideal. That’s why we remain committed to keeping rates as low and stable as possible—just as we’ve done in the past.
