Diversity and inclusion touches all of us every day. As an organization, we know a focus on D&I has the power to increase productivity, customer service, innovation and even wellness. So, we’re doubling down on our efforts. Why? Because the immeasurable talents and personalities within our walls strengthen us as a whole. We welcome to our workforce skilled teammates of all ages, abilities, military statuses, religion, sexual orientations and more. And internally, our Employee Resource Groups ensure teammates have a share in opportunities available to them, as well as an outlet to define and tackle workplace challenges so we may collaborate toward positive, integrative solutions.
We’re out in our communities, too. Our teammates attend local cultural networking breakfasts and self-educate at D&I conferences. They volunteer at STEM-related school events, assist in sponsorship of Nebraska's annual Latino Youth Summit and provide local Chamber/civic support. And, they’re helping improve our customer communities by giving back their time to those in need by using their skills grown throughout their careers here. At the end of the day, that makes us feel pretty darn good.
In 2023, we received the Hispanic Heritage Award from the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for our involvement and support of statewide initiatives in our Nebraska youth into the workforce, especially Latinos, while creating opportunities for employees and their families.
In 2022, we received the Diversity and Inclusion Summit Visionary award from the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce for our commitment to diversity and inclusion and the transformational strengths that it provides, aiming to create a stronger Nebraska for all.
In 2020, we received the Visionary award from the Nebraska Commission on Latino Americans for our efforts in promoting higher education among youth.
In 2017, we received the Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Centro Hispano Comunitario de Nebraska for strides made within and outside of the organization.
