Holiday Lighting Contest
Contest entry forms and photos must be submitted by December 9th.
Voting at www.starherald.com will start on December 11th and close at midnight on December 16th.
The top 5 online winners will then qualify for the final judges vote.
Final judging will take place the evening of December 18th.
Winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will be announced on December 20th.
All entry forms and photos must be submitted online by midnight, December 9th.
Eligible participants MUST receive their electric bill from Nebraska Public Power District and be a resident of Scottsbluff County.
Professionally decorated homes may not be entered. The contest is open to amateurs ONLY.
The contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence.
Residents are not required to be at home, however, the holiday display must be illuminated from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. starting on December 11th and ending December 21st.
Residential homes, condos, townhomes and businesses are all eligible to enter.
Winners will be notified by Nebraska Public Power District and given a sign to display in their front yard.
Prizes will be awarded in the form of credit on the winners’ NPPD electric bills.
