Final Route Map (View Map)

Sixty days after the conclusion of a series of public hearings, Nebraska Public Power District presented the final route for a proposed transmission line between Columbus and Lincoln. NPPD mailed approximately 500 letters and another 3,000 newsletters to property owners along or near the 80-mile route, informing them of the decision.

Maps of the proposed route for the new high--voltage transmission line between Columbus and Lincoln were mailed to property owners along the route on Friday, October 26, 2007. The maps were enclosed in registered letters inviting those landowners potentially affected by the new line to a series of public hearings November 13-16.
