Chad Johnson NPPD makes every effort to help keep the public informed on electricity and related issues. Part of this effort includes providing educational materials to schools, service groups, seniors and others. Some of the items that NPPD can provide include teaching units, videos, classroom presentations, publications, speaker presentations, workshops and displays about electrical generation, transmission and distribution; energy and power; electrical safety; and environmental and water issues. These items are free to schools that are within NPPD's service territory.
Mission:
To promote the safe use of electricity.
Goal:
NPPD's Energy Education Team and a network of wholesale/retail partners will provide electrical safety information to our current and future customers.
Objective:
To provide students and adults objective information concerning indoor/outdoor electrical safety through speaker and classroom presentations, electrical safety models, displays, posters, videos, and resource materials.
Program Components:
Setting: Gymnasiums, classrooms, civic meetings and business community events.
