Co-op Engineer (Lines & Substation Engineering)

Nebraska Public Power District is looking for a COOP Engineer for the Lines & Substations engineering group of Nebraska Public Power District. Work location is Columbus, Nebraska. Applicant must be at least finishing their sophomore year and enrolled in civil engineering with an emphasis or interest in either structures or soils. The right individual will assist other experienced engineering staff with sub-transmission (34.5 and 69-kV) and transmission (115, 230 and 345-kV) substation and overhead line design projects. The candidate must be willing to learn from and take direction from seasoned professionals. Successful candidate will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). A good working knowledge of AutoCAD will be considered a plus. Co-Op Engineer may work the 2008 spring/summer session and/or 2008 summer/fall session.
