Dennis L. Rasmussen of Lincoln, a legislative consultant, began his term on the NPPD Board of Directors in 1997. Rasmussen is a graduate of Grand Island Business College with an advanced degree in business accounting. A former state senator, Rasmussen has also held the offices of President of the Nebraska Federation of Business Associations, Director of the state LEAD program, Vice-Chairman of the State Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, as well as serving as a member of the State Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Water Resources Association.
