Stu Minahan

Stu Minahan

Mr. Minahan graduated from Edison State College in New Jersey, with a bachelors degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology.  Additionally, he graduated from Petersons School of Steam Engineering in Boston and was awarded a certificate in Nuclear Reactor Fundamentals from Memphis State University.  He is a member of the Professional Reactor Operator Society and American Nuclear Society.  Mr. Minahan assumed the position of General Manager Plant Operations at Cooper Oct 1, 2003 when the Support Services Agreement between the District and Entergy Nuclear Nebraska, LLC (“Entergy”) was begun.  He began his utility carrier as an unlicensed operator at Vermont Yankee in 1979.  He was issued a Operator License by the USNRC at Vermont Yankee and Pilgrim Station.  Over the past twenty- eight years he has held management positions including Shift Manager, Work Control Manager, Outage Manager and Operations Manager.  His current responsibilities include oversight and directional focus of Cooper Nuclear Station on behalf of the District.  He was appointed Vice President in January 2007.
