Ron Larsen, a local businessman, began his term on the NPPD Board of Directors in January 2005. A native of Kearney, Larsen is a graduate of Kearney High School and the University of Nebraska at Kearney (Kearney State College). A former mayor who served for four years, Larson has also served on the Kearney City Council for 16 years, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, the UNK Advisory Council, founding member of the Kearney Softball Association, as well as numerous other boards. He is presently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Good Samaritan Hospital Board, the Chairman of the Buffalo County Economic Development Council, and the President of the Great Platte River Archway. Larsen also serves on the Kearney YMCA Board and the Sentinel Health of Kearney Board.
