Temporary Monitoring

Through NPPD's metering department, several options are available to customers that have short term energy monitoring and informational needs. Such opportunities typically center around how energy is used, what do the peak demand periods look like, what are the opportunities associated with these profiles, how does a particular motor or piece of equipment impact actual billed demand and what can be done about it, how can power quality concerns be addressed? These and many other concerns can be addressed with one of the five temporary monitoring options available.

Oftentimes customers want to understand their usage, make improvements, and then verify the benefits of the improvements. Temporary monitoring allows customers to identify the opportunities with minimal risk, time, expertise, and costs (in some cases there are no costs).

Of the five options available, all are provided by NPPD. Some are at no costs, and others are offered at the cost of service - depending upon the sophistication and type of data that is requested and the resources required.
