Well Field Development/Timeline

  • Test bores (20) were completed Saturday, March 6, 2004.
  • The well-drilling phase of the project was completed by June 30, 2004.
  • In early 2005, NPPD board approved installation of 24 pumps.
  • First wells were available on June 26, 2005.
  • Remaining wells were available August 1, 2005.
  • Wells were utilized in 2005 and 2006 for discharge temperature mitigation.
  • De-winterizing and testing of wells for possible summer operation may begin in late May to early June to prepare for summer operation.
