Nebraska Public Power District has an immediate opening for a Technical Training Supervisor located at Cooper Nuclear Station near Brownville, Nebraska.
Supervise, initiate, schedule, and evaluate activities required to develop and maintain all phases of the CNS Training Programs. Direct supervision of all personnel assigned to the Technical Training Group. Update and maintain training programs to meet the requirements of regulatory and auditing bodies such as the NRC, INPO, ANI, and QA.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Supervise the development, implementation, and maintenance of Nuclear Training Programs. Program responsibilities are Radiation Protection, Chemistry, and the Engineering Support Training Programs.
- Supervise Nuclear Instructors.
- Technical review and approval of Nuclear Training documents and procedures.
- Determine training needs and training materials for procedure changes, Technical Specifications changes, SERs, NRC SOERs, SILs, and LERs.
- Select and approve vendor training programs and materials.
- Prepare section budget.
- Manage and maintain INPO Accreditation on required training programs.
- Incumbent is accountable for miscellaneous other responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Provide oversight and direction to Nuclear Instructors for Corrective Action Program documentation and action item closure.
Decision Making Authority:
Salary increases to subordinates, assists with the promotion and hiring of employees, work assignments, manpower planning, training sessions scheduling, and approving new or different instructional methods and presentation media related to training subjects. Decisions regarding policy and issues, which may have division-wide impact, are referred to the Training Manager.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree plus 10 years relevant experience (OR) Associates degree plus 14 years relevant experience (OR) High school diploma or equivalent plus 18 years relevant experience.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- NRC RO or SRO License or STA (Desired)
- NRRPT Registration (Desired)
- SAT Training (Desired)
- Instructor Experience (Desired)
- Nuclear Supervisor Experience (Desired)
Prior Related Experience:
Five years experience working in or supervising a Technical area such as (Training, Radiation Protection, Chemistry, Engineering).
Five years experience working in the Nuclear Power Industry.
