Licensing Engineer

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Licensing Engineer (Engineer Level I-IV) located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska.

Develop, process and implement license amendment changes. This activity requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Interface with regulatory agencies and NPPD at virtually all levels.

There are several other important tasks this position is responsible for: Process commitment changes, coordinate and lead NRC inspections and audits, facilitate ITS/FSAR changes, provide consultation and information as needed to the line regarding the licensing basis, and ensure compliance with the license.

The respondent is subject to the District's Fitness for Duty Program. The person filling this position must live within a 45-minute response time to Cooper Nuclear Station.

Education and Training:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related technical field.
