Columbus, Neb. – A change in venue will occur for Nebraska Public Power District’s Board of Directors’ monthly meeting in May.
The May 7-8 meeting will be held in Scottsbluff, rather than its normal location at NPPD’s General Office headquarters in Columbus. Both days of meetings will be held at the Scottsbluff Hampton Inn, 301 West Highway 26.
The Board periodically conducts its board meetings at other locations across the state in order to provide more opportunities for the public to attend. In 2012, the Board met in Brownville at Cooper Nuclear Station, and at Gerald Gentleman Station near Sutherland in 2013.
Wednesday’s session begins at 10 a.m. MDT with a strategic session. Public comment time will be available at 1 p.m., followed by the Nuclear Committee meeting, where the Board will vote on various action items related to Cooper Nuclear Station. Once that committee has concluded, the Board will split into two committees, one for Energy Supply and the other for Customer and Support Services. No voting action will be taken during those two committee meetings.
Thursday’s session begins at 8 a.m. when the Board will vote on various items discussed in the Energy Supply and Customer and Support Services Committee meetings. A public comment time has been set for 9 a.m.
